New 2009 Foreman ATV – Gas burning smell?
I just bought the new Honda ATV and went out for a short ride around the neighborhood for test drive. I noticed there was a burning gas smell, of course while on. Is this normal? Perhaps it is since it’s the first time using it and it is a bit cold. I just want to confirm.
Also – how much are the insurance costs for the ATV? Month/year? Thanks!

New bikes and quads are coated with “cosmoline” (a thin oil like sewing machine oil) to prevent them from rusting before removal from their shipping crate.
Sometimes it isn’t completely cleaned off before the customer takes possession of the bike/quad.
That is what you are smelling.
